Any congenital deformities, birth defects, blood disorders and treatment related to it.

The cost of collecting donor organs or any administrative costs involved.

Injuries resulting from playing professional sport or from any dangerous sport or activity.

Alternative medicine Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Acupuncture therapies.

Vitamins, Preventive medical examinations /Health Checkups, Genetic Testing.

Road Traffic Accidents: Emergency treatment, Primary & OP care (Secondary & Inpatient cases to be claimed from other Insurance covering these losses).

Work related injuries.

HOW TO RECEIVE MEDICAL SERVICES / MAKING A CLAIM?

IM visits any one of the Medical Provider for medical service.

The member MUST produce the medical card along with the photo identification (CPR) at the reception counter, The member will be referred to a medical practitioner and services will be provided as per the terms and conditions of its Insurance policy.

In the event of In-Patient Services( except emergency cases ) the hospital will inform GEMS for pre approval.

In the event of Out Patient Services( except emergency cases ) exceeding pre-authorization limit shown in the medical id card, the hospital will approach GEMS for pre approval – Maximum waiting period 60 minutes.

Member goes back to reception counter to pay the excess prior to receiving services.

Member visits Pharmacy / Laboratory for the required services.

FOLLOW UP VISIT?

Insured Member may visit the MP for the same medical condition

If the re-visit is within 7 days from its first visit, no further excess will have to be paid by the IM.

If the re-visit is after 7 days or if it is for another medical condition, the member will have to pay excess again as it will be considered as a new visit.

All procedures as per how to receive medical services/ making a claim will be followed

TO CANCEL THE POLICY

The member may discontinue the policy within 30 days from the date of joining the WeFit Program.

The member’s request to withdraw in writing should be addressed to GU.

GEMS CS / GU Policy Team will check for claim utilization.

Full refund in the case of NO Claim.

In the event of claim being incurred or paid within that period No refund is payable.

The policy cannot be cancelled after 30 days from inception of cover.

CHRONIC CONDITIONS MAINTENANCE TREATMENT VISITS?

For Medical conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension etc. one would need monthly medication . This is covered under this program and provided treatment on out patient basis.

Once a member decides on the network provider for Chronic treatment, he/she has to continue with the same provider for any further treatment of that chronic condition/ monthly supply of medicines.
